We had Denis Larkin Safety Training visit us in HQ recently for a staff training day. Staff completed manual handling, fire safety and fire warden training, as well as a refresher in forklift operating. We’ve had Denis provide training courses for us for years and it’s always great to welcome him back.
We started a new project at the Grangegorman campus in Dublin over the last few days. This project will involve the refurbishing and stabilising of gabion and bleacher structures that retain the ground between playing pitches within the campus. Temporary works design, temporary lifting device, and all ground works all looked after by NHC Construction.
NHC Construction likes to donate to a charity every year and this week we made a donation to Brú Columbanus. Niall had a personal experience with them a few years ago and witnessed first hand the great work they do. We hope it will help more families in need of this great service.
Niall presented Nessa O’ Dwyer and some pupils from Scoil Mhuire National School, Newcastle with a €500 donation for the Newcastle 5k Road Race. The race is taking place on Sunday 19th January and proceeds will go to the school.
We are currently in the process of moving all our plant and equipment to our main HQ in Newcastle, Co. Tipperary.
Congratulations and best wishes to Noel O’ Keeffe on his recent retirement. We wish him the very best of luck and appreciate all the kindness and support he has given the NHC team. We made a small presentation of a red oak tree to Noel-the oak tree symbolises wisdom and longevity which is very fitting…
We recently added new containers to our fleet to provide better, more functioning and secure site compounds.
We kitted our team out recently with new uniform and PPE gear. The lads received sweatshirts, polo-shirts, heavy rain jacket, beanie, hi-vis, safety helmet, gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen, a thermos and a first aid kit in a handy gear bag.
We’re thrilled to share that NHC Construction Ltd has started a new project for the HSE at St. Camillus Hospital, Limerick. This exciting project involves transforming the main hospital kitchen to enhance functionality, including new floor drainage and flooring, full M&E upgrade package, and installation of new kitchen equipment.
